São Paulo, also known as the “Little New York of South America,” is located in southeastern Brazil. It is the capital of São Paulo state and the largest city and industrial center in Brazil. The city of São Paulo covers an area of 1530 square kilometers, with the Atlantic Ocean to the southeast and the Paran á River and its tributary, the Rio Grande, to the west and north. According to data from 2020, the population of São Paulo is approximately 12 million, while the population of São Paulo state has reached 46.6 million, accounting for nearly one-fifth of Brazil’s total population. As one of the largest and busiest international metropolises in South America, São Paulo is not only the economic center of Brazil, but also has abundant industrial, financial, commercial, and cultural resources.

São Paulo’s economic output accounts for 10% -15% of Brazil’s total, and it holds a leading position in various industries such as finance, manufacturing, trade, technology, and education. The industrial production capacity of São Paulo State accounts for 40% of the country’s total, and its output value accounts for 45.3% of the country’s total. It has a Brazilian electronics industry center, an automotive industry base, the largest industrial park in the country, and an oil refinery. In addition, the São Paulo Stock Exchange is one of the largest stock exchanges in Latin America, further consolidating its position as a financial center.

In terms of cuisine, São Paulo will not disappoint either. Churrasco is a signature delicacy here, known for its unique grilling methods and a wide selection of meat products. In addition, Feijoada, A stew dish mainly made of black beans and pork, which is also a traditional Brazilian cuisine and deeply loved by locals and tourists. And Coxinha, a small Dim sum made of chicken and cream, is a common snack on the streets of Sao Paulo with crisp skin and fresh and juicy inside.
São Paulo’s Cathedral, this magnificent Gothic building, is one of the iconic landmarks of the city of São Paulo. The stained glass windows emit colorful light and shadow, creating a solemn and sacred atmosphere. The natural scenery of São Paulo is equally charming. Ibirapuera Park is an oasis in the city, with vast green spaces, lakes, and a modern art museum, making it a great place for citizens to relax and tourists to sightsee.
And street art in São Paulo is also a major feature, especially in Beco do Batman, where colorful graffiti works showcase the city’s youthful, vibrant, and diverse urban spirit.
