How to choose bottles made suitable for by IBM
IBM bottles, the neck by injection, and body made by blowing
So the whole bottle looks nice, no flash on neck and bottom, no need deflashing when production,
Only with small gate marks on bottom.
To make bottles by IBM, will need body diameter and total height under IBM blow expanding ratio. Because this machine designed for PE and PP only, these are low viscosity polymer, tensile not too high.
For example, body diameter: neck diameter= D:d , for HDPE no more than 3:1, for PP and LDPE no more than 4:1.
Total height : neck diameter = H:d, no more than 10:1. See sketch as below,
